Al Pacino is returning to Broadway next year in China Doll, which
according to writer David Mamet, was developed specifically for the
actor.
Pacino will play a wealthy man about to retire and marry a young
woman when his plans are suddenly altered by one last phone call.
Having won an Academy Award for “Scent of a Woman”, Pacino also earned
Tonys for The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel and Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie?
He last appeared on Broadway in another Mamet play, the Pulitzer-Prize-winning drama Glengarry Glen Ross which ended its limited run in 2013.
