Three-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams will make her Broadway debut
on March 21 in the iconic role of "Sally Bowles" in the Broadway revival of Cabaret. Williams will be starring opposite Alan Cumming as the Emcee, who won a Tony Award for this role in 1998.
Also returning are Sam Mendes as director and Rob Marshall as choreographer and co-director.
Williams made her acting breakthrough as bad girl "Jen Lindley" on the hit TV show Dawson’s Creek. Since then, Williams has built an extensive Hollywood film career with roles in Brokeback Mountain (where was nominated for an Academy Award), Synecdoche, New York, Blue Valentine (also nominated for an Oscar), Shutter Island, I’m Not There., Take This Waltz, My Week with Marilyn (another Oscar nomination), and Oz the Great and Powerful. On stage, Williams appeared off-Broadway in Smelling a Rat and Killer Joe and opposite Jessica Chastain in The Cherry Orchard opposite Jessica Chastain.
