Hotel News: The Paper Factory opens in Long Island City

Long Island City in Queens has become one of New York City’s hottest hotel neighborhoods.  It's really the next Brooklyn, but a lot closer to Midtown Manhattan.  Adding to the neighborhood's inventory of trendy hospitality options, which include Z Hotel and Hotel Ravel, is the new Paper Factory Hotel.

You are not sleeping on a factory floor but the hotel has preserved many of the original machines and displayed them throughout the property.  Your attendees can even read the stories behind them.  The hotel has 120 rooms that include luxury suites.  It also offers a restaurant, an outdoor beer garden and a spa.  And art, which we have blogged is a huge trend throughout hotels in NYC, is a major focus at the Paper Factory.
